Roosevelt Medical Center's Activity Department provides a planned and diversified program of therapeutic activities and recreational programming to all residents based on their individual needs and capabilities in accordance with the interests and the physical, mental and psychosocial well being of each resident.

The Activity Department is directed by Vickie Grimsrud, ADC, a qualified professional who is certified by the National Certification Council for Activity Professionals as an Activity Director. RMC's Activity Department also employs a full-time Activity Assistant and a limited part-time Activity Assistant to help conduct programming for the residents.

Activities programming is currently provided seven days per week with support from the local volunteer community for special programs and events. Activities programming includes group and individual activities for physical, cognitive, social, spiritual and emotional well-being as well as one-to-one interactions with residents through sensory programming or social visits.
Activity Based Care
The Nursing Staff provide daily activities based care in all their interactions with patients of RMC. Working in tandem with the Activities Department and with Social Services, they determine the best course of action that will provide the most benefit to the patient with special needs, whether they are a patient with Alzheimer's Disease, a patient who is vision or speech impaired, or a patient who has muliple care needs. Each person is treated as an individual, always keeping their dignity intact throughout their stay with us.

Worship Opportunities
Worship opportunities are provided on Sundays at 4:00 p.m. by local clergy, along with mid-week Mass by St. Anthony's Church.  Monthly Bible studies are nosted by Bethel Community Church and weekly Bible readings and provate devotions are provided by activity staff.
